MIAMI – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Miami Shareholder Benjamine Reid was awarded The Florida Bar President’s Pro Bono Service Award for 2011 for the 11th Judicial Circuit. This honor recognizes Reid’s donation of his time to representing people who cannot afford legal services. The award is presented annually to one attorney in each of Florida’s 20 judicial circuits, which includes more than 90,000 members of The Florida Bar. The award ceremony took place at the Florida Supreme Court.

Reid is a trial lawyer who represents a diverse corporate clientele in litigation. He has extensive appellate experience in both state and federal courts. Reid handles commercial disputes, environmental matters, and products liability claims. A substantial portion of his practice is represented by class action litigation. Reid received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1971 and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1974.
