Darrin Taylor spoke at the APA Florida 2010 Annual Conference.
Giles and Tinkler served on a panel entitled “Funding and Legal Framework for Florida’s Transportation Future." Linnan and Taylor served on the “The Challenges of Locating Mixed-Use” panel discussion. Both panels were held on Wednesday, September 15. The APA Florida 2010 Annual Conference was held September 14 – 17 in downtown Tampa.
Linnan practices primarily in the areas of environmental/land use and administrative law and government consulting. She serves as the Practice Group Leader for the firm's Government Law and Consulting Practice, the Tallahassee Office Managing Shareholder, and on the firm’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors. She also chairs the Florida Chamber’s Growth Leadership Task Force, which works with executive agencies and the Legislature on growth management issues.
Giles practices in the areas of complex real estate and commercial transactions. He represents the developers of large mixed-use and commercial and residential projects.
Board Certified in City, County and Local Government Law by The Florida Bar, Tinkler’s practice involves a wide variety of government law issues with a focus on land use, environmental permitting, energy, ethics and election law. His experience includes representation of individuals and corporations dealing with federal, state, and local government agencies, as well as representation of county government and constitutional officers. He serves as Chair-Elect of the City, County and Local Government Law Section of The Florida Bar and prior to joining Carlton Fields in 2006, served as a Senior Assistant County Attorney for Hillsborough County, Florida.
Taylor has a wide range of experience in urban and regional planning from both the state and local perspective. He works closely with attorneys in the firm to resolve comprehensive plan/plan amendment, DRI and zoning issues. Taylor has extensive experience in community based planning, working with citizens to identify solutions to planning issues. He also has been deemed an expert witness in the areas of comprehensive planning and land use planning.
