Thomas A. Dye served as a speaker at the IBM IT Services Legal Summit held October 20 at the IBM Client Center in New York. Dye spoke about trends in “Civil and Criminal Responses to Trade Secret Misappropriation.”
The IBM-hosted event is an invitation-only annual event presented to IBM’s business partners’ in-house counsel to address security and technology issues and is presented by experts from regulatory agencies, law firms, and corporations. Attendees this year included in-house counsel from AIG, American Express, Bank Of America, The Coca-Cola Company, GE, Marriott and Nokia.
Dye is a trial lawyer who handles commercial, intellectual property and insurance cases. He received his B.A. in Economics from the College of William and Mary and his J.D.,
cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law. Dye has taught as an adjunct at the University of Miami School of Law and has served as Vice Chair of the Business Torts Committee of the American Bar Association and editor of the Business Torts Journal.
