Kristy M. Johnson Selected as a 2011 Glass Ceiling Award Winner

MIAMI – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Miami Shareholder Kristy M. Johnson was recently selected as a winner of the 2011 Glass Ceiling Award by the Florida Diversity Council.

The Glass Ceiling Awards recognize 13 women throughout the state and hailing from a wide variety of industries who have achieved personal success in leadership roles and made it possible for other women to follow in their footsteps. Selection for the awards was based on demonstration of leadership; maintaining a record of accomplishment and steadily increasing career responsibility; exhibiting a positive influence to others; and displaying integrity and portraying the highest ethical standards.

“I am honored to be recognized by the Florida Diversity Council and the Glass Ceiling Award,” Johnson said. “It is an honor to be considered in a field of such talented women.”

Johnson focuses her practice on complex business disputes; complex health fraud and health regulatory issues; health care compliance; employment matters representing management; and representation of health professionals in state licensure and disciplinary proceedings. She previously worked for the Agency for Health Care Administration and the Department of Health in Tallahassee, Florida where she litigated complex medical regulatory cases before the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings and the Florida Board of Medicine. She received her J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida College of law and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.
