Michael P. Sampson to Serve on Orange County Civic Facilities Authority Board

ORLANDO - Carlton Fields Orlando Shareholder Michael P. Sampson was recently appointed to the Orange County Civic Facilities Authority Board. The board plans, develops, constructs, improves and operates facilities for conventions, expositions, civic, cultural, recreational, athletic and similar activities. Sampson is one of four members who will represent the City of Orlando on this board. The nominations were confirmed by the Orlando City Council earlier this week. Sampson will serve for a three year term.

Sampson's practice includes drafting premarital agreements, resolving complex family law disputes and litigating jurisdictional issues in diverse family law matters. In 1986, he received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law and his M.A. in economics from Duke University. He received his A.B., with distinction, from Cornell University in 1983. Sampson serves as a member of the Florida Rules of Judicial Administration Committee and Central Florida Family Law American Inn of Court.
