Carlton Fields’ Tallahassee shareholder Nancy G. Linnan and Tampa associate Nicole C. Kibert were invited to speak at the 27th Annual Growth Management, Energy, Climate Change and the Environment Short Course. The program took place February 22-24, 2011 at the Wyndham Orlando Resort.
Linnan spoke on Growth Management in 2011 and Transportation Funding. Kibert served as a Low Impact Development (LID) panelist and moderated the Renewable Energy panel discussion.
Linnan practices primarily in the areas of environmental/land use and administrative law and government consulting. In the growth management area, she works with developments of regional impact, comprehensive plan amendments, sector plans, and local land use approvals. She also works with the Florida Legislature, state agencies, and local governments in policy development. Linnan works with state, federal, and local environmental permitting. Her general administrative law/government consulting activities include work before all state agencies with an emphasis on the Departments of Community Affairs, Legal Affairs, Environmental Regulation, Management Services (state procurement), Revenue (state tax), Business and Professional Regulation, the Executive Office of the Governor and the Florida Legislature. Linnan is the Office Managing Shareholder of Carlton Fields' Tallahassee office.
Kibert is a certified mediator and a U.S. Green Building Council LEED Accredited Professional. She represents developers statewide in the creation of planned communities, condominiums and subdivisions with a special emphasis on projects involving sustainable development, renewable energy generation, and downtown and brownfields redevelopment. Kibert leads Carlton Fields’ green initiative, CF Goes Green, and incorporates her extensive experience in environmental protection initiatives into her law practice.
