Sarah Cortvriend Selected to Palm Beach County Leadership Program

WEST PALM BEACH - Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that West Palm Beach Associate Sarah Cortvriend was recently selected as a member of the 2010 class of Leadership Palm Beach County, Inc.’s Adult Leadership Program.

Leadership Palm Beach County is an educational nonprofit organization designed to foster awareness of community issues and promote efficient communication and cooperative relationships between existing and emerging community leaders. Through the Adult Leadership Program, the organization is devoted to preparing an active network of informed, concerned community trustees to help shape the future of Palm Beach County.

Initiated in 1983 through a collaborative effort of the local Chambers of Commerce, Leadership Palm Beach County has prepared nearly 900 graduates for enhanced community leadership roles. The organization is committed to the collective discussion and resolution of local issues and concerns. Leadership Palm Beach County does not take positions on political issues, but has provided arenas for dialogue through a variety of community initiatives and educational events. Leadership Palm Beach County incorporates the diverse values, beliefs and contributions of its membership as an integral component of all of its planning and activities.

Cortvriend is a member of the firm’s Real Property Litigation and Business Litigation & Trade Regulation Practice Groups. She received a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, in 1999 from the University of South Florida, and a law degree, cum laude, in December 2003 from the University of Florida College of Law. She was Senior Research Editor of Florida Law Review and a teaching assistant while in law school.
