Sarah Cortvriend Sworn In As President-Elect of the Palm Beach County FAWL

West Palm Beach – Sarah Cortvriend, an attorney in the West Palm Beach office of Carlton Fields, was recently sworn in as President-Elect of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers (FAWL).

Cortvriend was sworn in by Palm Beach County Circuit Court Judge Meenu Sasser at FAWL’s installation luncheon at the Palm Beach Marriott. She is serving as President-Elect for one year beginning May 19, 2010. She will then take office as President of the Chapter for a one-year term on May 18, 2011. The objective of the Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL is to advance the professional status of women lawyers, promote the rights of women generally, enhance the visibility of women within the legal profession and within their communities and create and maintain supportive networks among women in the legal and other professions.

A member of Carlton Fields’ Real Property Litigation and Business Litigation & Trade Regulation Practice Groups, Cortvriend focuses her practice on real property litigation and commercial litigation. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Florida College of Law and her B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of South Florida.
