Steven J. Brodie Nominated for Re-election to Board of United Way of Miami-Dade

Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields Miami Shareholder Steven J. Brodie was recently nominated for re-election to the Board of the United Way of Miami-Dade for a three-year term.

Brodie has been a member of the Board since 2006.

“I am honored to be nominated to continue serving the Board of the United Way,” Brodie said. “It has been extremely fulfilling to help champion the mission of an organization that has deep relationships throughout our community and is everyday making a positive impact on the lives of our county’s residents.”

Brodie is a commercial litigator in state and federal courts. His practice includes civil litigation with a focus on insurance, business disputes, and general commercial issues. In addition, Brodie provides professional and business guidance and lobbying services, serving as outside general counsel to several companies. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Tulane University and attended the University of Miami School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 1981. He is a member of The Florida Bar, American Bar Association, and Dade County Bar Association. He has co-authored books and has lectured extensively on his fields of expertise.

Brodie is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell; named Best Lawyers' 2011 Miami Insurance Lawyer of the Year, South Florida Business Journal's Who's Who in Corporate Law, Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in American Law, Florida Super Lawyers, Florida Trend's Florida Legal Elite, and Business Leader magazine's Power Issue 2009; and was the recipient of the South Florida Business Journal's 2009 Key Partners Award for Government Contracting and Lobbying.
