BTI conducted more than 250 interviews with corporate counsel at Fortune 1000 companies. The BTI Client Service 30 is comprised of law firms which clients rank as performing 4 to 15 times better than all other firms they have engaged. Carlton Fields ranked among the top 200 law firms in the nation, for the seventh consecutive year, in the June 2008 issue of The American Lawyer magazine. Carlton Fields improved its ranking on the list to #179 on the AmLaw 200 list. The firm ranked #188 in 2007.
The American Lawyer Pro Bono List
Carlton Fields ranked #68 among the top 200 law firms in the nation in The American Lawyer magazine's Ranking the Firms: 2007 Pro Bono. Carlton Fields attorneys averaged 44.3 hours of pro bono service and 55.2% of attorneys with more than 20 hours of pro bono work recorded last year.

Carlton Fields ranked #113 nationally in the 2008 American Lawyer Satisfaction Survey of Mid-Level Associates. The American Lawyer rankings are based on surveys of mid-level associates in 180 of the country's top firms.
The American Lawyer Summer Associate Survey
Carlton Fields ranked #29 in The American Lawyer’s Summer Associate Survey, an annual survey conducted nationwide that measures summer associates’ job satisfaction. Summer associates are law students that clerk at law firms through the summer. The survey is based on the responses from over 7,300 summer associates from 195 firms throughout the country.
The National Jurist’s Best Law Firms to Work For
Carlton Fields ranked 18th in the October issue of The National Jurist’s Best Law Firms to Work For survey. Law students from across the country were polled on what they are looking for in a law firm – the #1 answer was quality of life. The publication looked at what makes a law firm a great place to work, what firms have a work-life balance, solid retention programs, a commitment to training, and who is leading the charge and challenging the status quo. The National Jurist is a national magazine for law students.
The Best Lawyers in America
62 attorneys were recently selected for inclusion in the 2009 edition of The Best Lawyers in America. This is an increase from 54 attorneys in 2008. Carlton Fields is ranked #1 throughout the state of Florida in Appellate Law (with six attorneys), Construction Law (with six attorneys), Energy Law (with three attorneys), Mass Tort Litigation (with four attorneys), and Product Liability Litigation (with four attorneys).
Corporate Counsel Magazine Top 500 U.S. Companies
Carlton Fields was chosen as a “Go-To Law Firm” in the areas of Litigation and Labor & Employment by Firm clients in a recent survey of the Top 500 U.S. Companies by Corporate Counsel magazine. MultiCultural Law Top 100 Law Firms
Carlton Fields was named in MultiCultural Law’s 2008 Top 100 Law Firms for Diversity list. The ranking is based on a diversity survey of minority and women shareholders and associates as a percent of the total number of attorneys, providing diversity totals for the firm. The survey was completed by 200 law firms nationally.
Florida Legal Elite
35 of the firm’s attorneys were selected by their peers as Florida Trend magazine’s 2008 Florida Legal Elite, a select group comprising the top two percent of lawyers practicing in Florida. Of the 35 attorneys, six attorneys were selected as Up-and-Comers. Carlton Fields also has the most female attorneys listed. Gary Sasso, Carlton Fields' President and CEO, was selected as a "Top Managing Partner/Head of the Firm."

63 Carlton Fields attorneys were selected for inclusion in Florida Super Lawyers 2008 and Georgia Super Lawyers 2007. Super Lawyers is a national directory that has been in business since 1990 and is currently represented in over 21 states.
South Florida Business Journal Business of the Year
South Florida Business Journal awarded Carlton Fields the 2006 Business of the Year Award in the category of Legal Services over $25 million. The award is presented to businesses which demonstrate concern for their employees, community involvement, and economic growth.
South Florida Legal Guide Top 100 Law Firm in South Florida
For the eighth consecutive year, Carlton Fields was named a Top 100 Law Firm in South Florida by the South Florida Legal Guide. 11 Carlton Fields attorneys were named among the Guide’s Top Lawyers in South Florida. In addition, five Carlton Fields attorneys were listed as Up-and-Coming. The South Florida Legal Guide’s annual survey determines its lists by polling hundreds of lawyers in South Florida for their recommendations. The Top Lawyers list is out of a total pool of about 23,000 members of The Florida Bar in South Florida, resulting in a published list of roughly the top one percent of the area’s attorneys.
