Allison Kahn concentrates her practice in defending employers in discrimination and retaliation matters in state and federal court. She has extensive experience litigating under Title VII, the Florida Civil Rights Act (FCRA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Fair Housing Act, and the Whistleblower Protection Act. She is also seasoned at appearing before the agencies that enforce the state and federal discrimination laws.
Ms. Kahn also counsels employers on handling discrimination and harassment complaints, employee discipline and termination issues, and provides opinions and recommendations regarding pay classifications (exempt/non-exempt) of employees under FLSA.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Ms. Kahn served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Gary Farmer at the Fourth District Court of Appeal in Florida.
