April Walker’s practice is dedicated to general commercial and business litigation. A significant portion of Ms. Walker's practice involves the representation of national financial lenders in lender liability litigation in state and federal court. She has particular experience defending lenders in consumer finance litigation involving claims brought under federal statutes including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and state statutes including the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA) and the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA). She handles litigation involving claims brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), lien priority disputes, actions to quiet title, and co-tenant partition actions. Additionally, Ms. Walker represents corporate and individual clients in various industries including chemical, manufacturing, and telecommunications. 

Ms. Walker’s litigation experience includes litigating disputes involving breach of contract, negligence, tortious interference with business relationships, malicious prosecution, abuse of process, defamation, and slander of title. She has prior experience litigating federal discrimination claims including prosecuting claims under the federal Fair Housing Act (FHA) and defending employers in federal employment discrimination litigation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (Title VII).

Ms. Walker's goal on every case is to work with her client to develop a strategy that will result in cost-effective resolution of the matter. She often utilizes alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration to achieve this goal. Where litigation to judgment is necessary, Ms. Walker has experience litigating matters to trial and has jury trial experience in federal court.
