April Walker’s practice is dedicated to general commercial and business litigation with a present emphasis on lender liability defense. Ms. Walker defends banks in consumer finance litigation involving claims brought under federal statutes including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 (TCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and state statutes including the Florida Consumer Collections Practices Act (FCCPA). She also represents banks in residential foreclosure matters, actions to quiet title and disputes involving contract and tort claims.
Ms. Walker’s business litigation background includes defending corporate and individual clients in disputes involving contract and business tort claims.
Ms. Walker also has experience prosecuting claims under the federal Fair Housing Act (FHA) and defending employers in federal employment discrimination litigation.
