Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Miami Shareholder Benjamine Reid was recently re-elected to the Board of Directors of the Orange Bowl Committee (OBC).
The OBC is a nonprofit sports organization that promotes and serves South Florida. Founded nearly 80 years ago, the OBC promotes championship sporting events, related premier entertainment, and other year-round activities to inspire youth, engage the community, and enhance the South Florida economy.
Reid has held leadership positions in a number of local community and charitable organizations. These include the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Dade Public Education Fund, Dade Heritage Trust, and Episcopal Charities.
Reid is a trial lawyer who represents a diverse corporate clientele in litigation. He has extensive appellate experience in both state and federal courts. Reid handles commercial disputes, environmental matters, and products liability claims. A substantial portion of his practice is represented by class action litigation. Reid received his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law.
