Jon Cipriani's practice focuses on D&O and securities-related professional liability insurance coverage litigation, property insurance coverage litigation, "bad faith" insurance claim defense, and class action commercial litigation, including personal injury protection benefit litigation. He practices in both state and federal court.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields' Miami office, Mr. Cipriani served as a law clerk to Judge K. Michael Moore of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Before moving to Miami, he was a lifelong resident of New York, and worked at a New York City law firm where his work included securities and general commercial litigation.
In his pro bono work, Mr. Cipriani has represented prisoners in federal civil rights actions. As a courtroom volunteer with Lawyers for Children America, he has represented children in Miami-Dade family court.
