Practice Experience
- James Wolfson focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling, including IP portfolio management. He has substantial experience representing clients in the retail, hospitality, leisure, consumer products, information technology, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries.
- Mr. Wolfson has successfully prosecuted or defended claims alleging patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, dilution, trademark counterfeiting, and false advertising through trial and appeal in Federal District and Appellate Courts throughout the United States, as well as before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He also works extensively with clients in the area of intellectual property litigation as it relates to the Internet, successfully litigating numerous domain name and meta tag disputes in federal court and through the Uniform Dispute Resolution Procedure.
- In order to provide more expeditious and economical relief to clients, Mr. Wolfson has frequently utilized procedural and substantive mechanisms such as ex parte seizures, temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions and summary judgment, often obtaining creative and complete relief for clients without the necessity of trial.
