Katherine Heckert is a Florida attorney specializing in the areas of construction, insurance, and commercial litigation. She has a broad range of litigation experience, including the areas of construction litigation, bad-faith insurance, class-actions, appellate, and residential and commercial foreclosures. She also has experience with a variety of administrative agencies. Ms. Heckert has litigated cases involving international corporations and individuals. Her work also includes providing litigation support, including drafting and arguing complex pre-trial motions, case dispositive motions, and jury instructions.

Ms. Heckert has a diverse work background, giving her the flexibility to work on a wide variety of legal problems. She spent a year as a law clerk for DV-LEAP, a non-profit legal organization focused on protecting victims of domestic violence. She also spent a year as a law clerk within GEICO's Legislative Policy office. Ms. Heckert served as a summer clerk at AARP's Employment Discrimination Office and she also interned at the Department of Homeland Security within the US-VISIT office, as well as in the Strategic Coordination Office, where she worked on a variety of policy issues, including legal privacy protections. She completed an internship with the City of Columbia, Missouri, where she focused on coordination of the city's citizen driven future-planning initiative, and provided research and information to citizens on Sunshine Law requirements.
