Cooperative Venture We help non-profit organizations report to the public/government, obtain and maintain their tax exempt status, and manage their contractual relationships. We view our role as corporate and tax counsel to be a cooperative venture with your organization’s board members and management. We work together to identify issues and resolve them in a manner consistent with your organization’s concerns and goals.
Commitment to Client Goals As an additional benefit for our nonprofit clients, our government law team identifies, tracks, analyzes, and summarizes legislative proposals and political and policy considerations, assessing their impact on nonprofit client operations. They also assist in drafting legislation and amendments to legislation, help pass or defeat legislative proposals, and use their extensive political relationships for clients’ benefit.
Many of our attorneys currently hold leadership roles in nonprofit organizations, and have extensive experience providing nonprofits with insight and direct access to the most current information about strategies, changing laws, and other issues of relevance.
