Practice Experience

• Bob Ciotti has been involved in major commercial litigation and appeals since joining Carlton Fields after graduating magna cum laude from Boston College Law School in 1981.
• Mr. Ciotti's major areas of practice include:
  • Antitrust and Trade Regulation - Mr. Ciotti is Board Certified in this area, has served as the Vice-Chair of the ABA Antitrust Section's State Action and Noerr Doctrine Committee, and currently serves on The Florida Bar's Antitrust and Trade Regulation Certification Committee.  He has spoken at various Antitrust Section programs, and written on various antitrust topics.  Bob also has an M.B.A. and often uses his training in this discipline in analyzing expert economic or damage reports, and in deposing expert witnesses.
  • Environmental Contamination Litigation - Mr. Ciotti is Co-Chair of Carlton Fields' Environmental Contamination and Mold Litigation practice group and has significant experience in environmental contamination litigation, including claims for property damage, personal injuries, and medical monitoring stemming from alleged exposure to on- and off-site contaminates.
  • Class Actions - He is an active member of the firm's Class Action Task Force and many of his matters involve opposition to efforts by plaintiffs to certify classes in federal and state courts, as well as in the relatively new phenomena of class arbitrations.  Bob's experience in this area cuts across a wide variety of substantive claims including antitrust, trade regulation, environmental, product liability and construction defect claims.
