Practice Experience
Tom Warner is both a civil trial and appellate lawyer, who also advises clients in regard to matters involving state and local government. He practices in the areas of commercial contract disputes and leases; land use, zoning, and environmental litigation; construction litigation; unfair and deceptive trade practices; class actions, products liability, and local government law. As the former Solicitor General of Florida, Mr. Warner represented the State of Florida and Governor Bush in numerous cases before the United States Supreme Court, Florida Supreme Court, and the lower appellate courts. As a member of the Florida House of Representatives, he successfully represented the Speaker of the House in a significant constitutional dispute with then Gov. Chiles regarding veto power. While Solicitor General, he developed extensive experience dealing with unfair and deceptive trade practices, anti-trust, regulation of businesses, public records, regulation of charities, state and local tax, and constitutional issues. As a Board Certified Civil Trial Lawyer with over 30 years experience, Mr. Warner has tried numerous civil jury and non-jury cases to verdict and final judgment.
