Wendy Lumish Named “12 to Watch in 2012”

02.08.2012
Miami, Fla. – Carlton Fields’ Shareholder and Appellate and Trial Support Chair, Wendy Lumish, was named one of the top “12 to Watch in 2012” by Attorney at Law magazine, the Miami edition. Lumish was selected for this feature as a result of her leadership of the firm’s appellate and trial support practice, the largest of its kind in Florida, and for her recent successes and high-exposure case work in 2012 — she expects to handle eight to 10 multi-million-dollar cases.

Lumish told the magazine that due to the success she and her team have had and as a result of the high quality work and services they provide to clients, “I think 2012 promises to be an exciting year. Everyone in our group is talented. We believe the key to success is collaboration. We work together on projects, share ideas and build on those ideas. I find the whole exchange to be very rewarding. I’m training younger lawyers and they are teaching me as well. I don’t know how many people get the opportunity to do that.”

Lumish is nationally ranked by Chambers USA in the area of product liability. She is also board certified in Appellate Law by The Florida Bar and she is a Fellow in the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, an organization whose membership is limited to 500 members and is by invitation only. She has extensive experience working on legal issues of national significance including crashworthiness doctrine, design defect, comparative fault, liability of non parties, the use and scope of expert testimony, the seat belt defense, warnings, punitive damages, and class actions.
