Carlton Fields labor and employment attorneys Brendan Gooley and Jonathan Sterling authored an HR Daily Advisor article titled, “5 Employment Policies to Draft or Redraft with Coronavirus Hindsight,” about the policy adjustments all employers should enact throughout the coronavirus crisis.
Companies should consider revising or reworking their sick leave, vacation leave, teleworking, disaster/contingency, and other relevant polices to reduce the risk of contamination, and prepare for what will happen if an employee contracts coronavirus.
Gooley and Sterling suggest that proper planning regarding policies enables employers to reopen as smoothly as possible.
