Carlton Fields litigators John R. Hart, who leads the firm’s West Palm Beach office, and Sarah Cortvriend were quoted in the
Daily Business Review about their work representing horse trainer Eugenie Redman. A federal judge ruled that before a jury found in Redman’s favor in a dispute involving a competitive show jumping horse, Redman made good-faith settlement offers to the plaintiff. The judge’s order clarified the standard for such offers.
“It comports with Florida law but maybe adds a few things that haven’t been articulated in one place before,” Cortvriend told the newspaper.
