Carlton Fields class action attorney Aaron S. Weiss was quoted in a Law360 article about a recent Supreme Court opinion. The court ruled that a group of students had standing to file a class action against their college over a policy against speaking on campus about religion, even after the school changed the policy.
"I expect that the concept of nominal damages under [this ruling] will become part of issues in the mix in cases under various consumer statutes, especially class actions," Weiss said.
