Carlton Fields appellate attorney Jeffrey A. Cohen was quoted in a Law.com/Daily Report article about the benefits of including appellate lawyers on trial teams to preserve issues for appeal.
“Be it an interjection of personal opinion, or commenting on matters outside of the evidence, or improperly asking the jury to serve as the conscience of the community, these are specific objections that need to be articulated,” Cohen told the publication. “Or you run the risk of having a court say that it’s not properly preserved.”
