Carlton Fields insurance litigator Markham Leventhal was quoted in a Life Annuity Specialist article entitled, “Life Insurers Face Challenge of Loss of Knowledge, Scattered Data.” He discussed the issues that can arise when life insurers lose employees with institutional knowledge.

“The inability to retrieve critical historical data can increase regulatory and litigation risk, as well as disruption to ongoing business operations, as a company scrambles to piece together basic facts in order to defend itself,” Leventhal told the publication.
