Carlton Fields Adds Labor and Employment Attorney Amanda M. Brahm in Hartford

Hartford, Conn.Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Amanda M. Brahm has joined the firm’s Hartford office as an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice. As a key part of her practice, Brahm represents educational institutions.

Brahm is part of the strategic, and recent expansion of Carlton Fields’ national Labor and Employment Practice, which includes the arrivals of attorneys Rae T. Vann in Washington, D.C., and Federico “Fred” M. MaciĆ” in Miami. Attorneys in the Labor and Employment Practice represent employers of all sizes, including academic institutions, in all types of employment disputes. Firm clients in the education sector include private and public colleges and universities, independent primary and secondary schools, charter schools, nonprofit and proprietary institutions, school districts, and businesses that serve educational institutions. 

Brahm’s labor and employment and education practice encompasses federal and state court litigation. Brahm defends clients across many industries in administrative proceedings, class actions, and other complex cases. Her experience includes matters involving employment discrimination claims, wage and hour claims, Title IX issues, disputes over the enforcement of covenants not to compete, wrongful discharge claims, and Americans with Disabilities Act issues.

Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Brahm was an associate at Wiggin and Dana in New Haven, Connecticut. She earned her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and her B.A. from Saint Anselm College. During law school, Brahm interned for the Privacy and Data Security Department of the Office of the Attorney General in Hartford, Connecticut, and served as the senior notes and comments editor of the Wake Forest Journal of Business & Intellectual Property.
