Hartford, Conn. – Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that attorney Rae Vann was named to the Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity Board of Directors.

The Lawyers Collaborative for Diversity unites the resources, energy, and commitment of Connecticut’s leading law firms, corporations, public sector entities, law schools, and state bar associations to make the state a more attractive place for attorneys of color and other diverse individuals to practice law and find satisfying professional opportunities. The firm has been a member organization since 2014. Member organizations contribute to the continued success of the organization’s programs by committing to the core mission and participating on the board of directors.

A Shareholder at Carlton Fields and Vice President of Core Triangle Consulting, Vann has more than 25 years of experience representing and advising corporate clients on workplace compliance matters. Her experience also includes serving for more than a decade as the senior vice president and general counsel of the Center for Workplace Compliance, the preeminent national employer association formerly known as the Equal Employment Advisory Council (EEAC). She is skilled in advising employers on all major federal, state, and local employment laws, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Executive Order 11246, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act, the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Equal Pay Act (EPA), the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Vann regularly counsels businesses on mitigating individual and systemic discrimination risks, establishing effective alternative dispute resolution procedures, conducting thorough and effective workplace harassment and other misconduct investigations, and other labor and employment matters.
