Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that two attorneys, Patricia M. Patino and Kai Su, joined the firm’s Business Litigation Practice as associates.
Carlton Fields’ business litigation group is its largest, comprising more than 150 attorneys in 11 offices across the country who handle complex business trials, arbitrations, and appeals. The firm earned top national rankings for commercial litigation in the U.S. News and World Report and Best Lawyers® Best Law Firms 2021 guide. Carlton Fields also ranked as a top firm in general commercial litigation in Florida in Chambers USA 2021.
Patino joins the firm’s Miami office. She represents commercial clients in a wide range of business disputes. She has experience with various issues of state and federal law, including breach of contract, commercial torts, and related causes of action. Earlier in her career, Patino served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jay P. Cohen in Florida’s Fifth District Court of Appeal. She earned her J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and her B.A., cum laude, from the University of Florida.
Su joins the firm’s Tampa office. She represents corporations in business litigation. Prior to joining Carlton Fields, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas G. Wilson in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, working on a large docket of civil and criminal cases. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from Stetson University College of Law and her B.S., cum laude, from the University of Florida.
