Los Angeles, CA – Steven Weisburd was included in the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2023 “Leaders of Influence: Litigators & Trial Attorneys” list. This annual list recognizes the top lawyers in Los Angeles based on their legal skill and achievement before judges and jury as well as their impact on the LA legal profession.

Over the past three decades, Weisburd has had notable success in securing motion victories, dismissals, defense verdicts, judgments, and favorable settlements for large companies such as Mattel, Fisher-Price, Johnson & Johnson, AstraZeneca, and Altria/Philip Morris. His reputation for winning the unwinnable has made him a go-to lawyer for clients seeking to derail bet-the-company litigation through tactically executed legal arguments and advocacy.

Active in the community, Weisburd devotes significant time on pro bono issues advocating on mental health issues, including his many years of service on the board of Mental Health Advocacy Services in Los Angeles. He has also worked pro bono on issues related to combatting violence against women, and a related article he published in the Stanford Law & Policy Review is included in the legislative history to the Violence Against Women Act.

Weisburd is the managing shareholder of Carlton Fields’ Los Angeles office. His experience representing businesses and individuals spans federal and state courts across the country and involves class actions, business disputes, mass torts, multidistrict litigation, product liability, and other complex civil litigation for clients in the consumer products, mass media and entertainment, technology, and financial services industries.
