Adrian Felix is a senior litigation associate whose practice focuses on complex commercial litigation and trade regulation, consumer finance and banking, and franchise and distribution law. He has litigated a wide variety of business disputes involving, among other things, breach of contract, fraud/misrepresentation, deceptive and unfair trade practices, unjust enrichment, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets and intellectual property, non-compete agreements and other restrictive covenants, violation of federal and state banking regulations, shareholder agreements, business dissolution, defamation, civil theft, and negligence claims.
Mr. Felix has advised and counseled domestic and foreign franchisors, franchisees, and distributors on federal and state franchise laws, disclosure documents, identification and development of store sites, and termination of franchise relationships and lease agreements. He has also represented franchisors and franchisees in pre-suit mediation, Florida federal and state courts, and arbitration conducted by Franchise Arbitration and Mediation Services (FAMS).
In addition to his practice, Mr. Felix is actively involved with the American Bar Association. He is the former Chair of the of the Litigation Committee for the Young Lawyers Division (YLD), and currently serves as co-chair of the Young Advocates Committee for the Section of Litigation and vice-chair of the Trial Techniques Committee for the Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section. He is also a member of the ABA Forum on Franchising.
