Carlton Fields Shareholder Chris Coutroulis was quoted in the Law360 article, “GC’s Class Action Expenses Increase After 4-Year Decline.” The article featured the firm’s fifth annual Class Action Survey, which published on Monday, March 21, 2016.
The survey showed that class action spending increased by $70 million in 2015 compared to the year before. Coutroulis said the increased spending has forced corporate counsel to change their strategies. “We see counsel approaching class action litigation more holistically — analyzing business impact with more of a strategic approach and less of a sole focus on the dollars and cents that an aggressive defense entails.”
