Atlanta, Ga.Carlton Fields is pleased to announce that Yelena Abalmazova Chan has joined the firm’s Atlanta office as a real estate attorney.

Chan drafts and negotiates primary transaction documents including purchase and sale agreements, notes, guarantees, and loan agreements. In addition, Chan has experience representing financial institutions in Small Business Administration (SBA) lending compliance.

Chan is also part-time faculty at Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business, where she teaches an undergraduate business law class entitled The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business.

Prior to entering private practice, Chan was an Assistant District Attorney in Hall County where she represented the State of Georgia in felony prosecutions, including serving as lead counsel in jury trials.

Chan earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and her B.A. in finance from Georgia State University. She is fluent in Russian.
