John Pitblado, Carlton Fields Recognized for Pro Bono Work by Lawyers for Children America
HARTFORD, CT – Carlton Fields’ John Pitblado was recognized as an “Advocate Hero” for his pro bono work by Lawyers for Children America at the organization’s Champions for Children event on November 7. Carlton Fields was also recognized as a “Leading Lights” awardee, signifying the firm’s dedication to pro bono service and giving vulnerable children a fighting chance. The awards honor those who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children through legal advocacy.
Pitblado, who currently serves as president of the national board of directors of Lawyers for Children American, was recognized for his pro bono work on behalf of children in need, including civil rights matters, educational outreach in underserved communities, and representation of minor children subject to neglect and abuse petitions brought by the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF) in Connecticut’s juvenile courts.
