Alexandra Blye advises clients on matters involving commercial real estate transactions, bankruptcy and creditors’ rights, and complex commercial litigation.

Alexandra's bankruptcy and insolvency practice focuses on creditors’ rights, distressed asset acquisitions, restructuring secured and unsecured debt, landlord/tenant disputes, and bankruptcy litigation. She represents secured and unsecured creditors, creditors' committees, landlords, trustees, assignees, and assignors in Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 11 and 7 liquidations, and assignments for the benefit of creditors under Chapter 726 of the Florida Statutes. Alexandra defends, protects, and pursues post-judgment execution rights, and litigates fraudulent and preferential transfer actions, nondischargeability judgments, and objections to debtors’ claimed exemptions of property. She also has substantial state and federal court experience litigating complex commercial lawsuits, including commercial foreclosures and business disputes.

In her real estate practice, Alexandra structures multimillion-dollar commercial real estate transactions on behalf of large financial institutions and insurance companies, as lenders, purchasers, and sellers. She has represented clients in and outside of Florida in more than $1 billion in transactions involving retail shopping centers, multifamily residential housing, office towers and corporate complexes, manufactured housing communities, industrial parks, and other commercial property.

  • Represented SIPIC trustee in connection with $15 million liquidation of all equipment, securities, and other personal property of central Florida broker-dealer.
  • Prosecuted hundreds of fraudulent transfer actions, domesticated judgments under the Hague Convention, and sought collection and enforcement of judgments in connection with $100 million  Ponzi scheme perpetrated by German fugitive, on behalf of Chapter 7 trustee in Tampa-based bankruptcy.
  • Foreclosed and negotiated sale of 300-unit multifamily apartment complex in Boca Raton for full satisfaction of $12 million final judgment.
  • Replevined private jet prejudgment and negotiated resolutions of subsequently obtained $7.2 million final judgment through resolution of state court proceedings supplementary for avoidance of fraudulently incurred debt brought against Oklahoma bank affiliate of individual debtor.
  • Negotiated sale and satisfaction of $4.5 million unsecured claim and assignment office lease in connection with bankruptcy sale of Boca Raton-based online database provider to TransUnion.
  • Negotiated bankruptcy auction of all equipment and inventory of railroad tie and reclamation company in satisfaction of $4 million secured judgment.
  • Negotiated bankruptcy auction of all equipment and inventory of broadcast tower manufacturer in connection with $3 million secured judgment.
  • Negotiated sale of cardiovascular institute in northern Florida in satisfaction of $10 million secured claim.
  • Settled $4.3 million judgment against individual debtor through resolution of heavily litigated fraudulent transfer avoidance actions and objections to exemptions brought on behalf of Chapter 7 trustee.
  • Foreclosed on numerous parcels of commercial real estate and settled $12.5 million deficiency judgment against guarantor through confirmed Chapter 11 plan of individual debtor guarantor.
  • Negotiated bankruptcy sale of real property in satisfaction of $11 million judgment in individual Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
  • Negotiated and obtained payment in full of $4.6 million secured claim in connection with confirmed Chapter 11 plan of Jupiter-based storage facility.
