Overview

Jason Brant concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate and commercial finance and regularly represents landlords, tenants, commercial lenders, developers, and purchasers and sellers of real estate.

Jason has extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions involving office buildings, shopping centers, industrial and warehouse properties, and medical facilities.

Jason represents commercial lenders in mortgage loan transactions and credit facilities, and in the modification and sale of distressed loans.

Jason represents purchasers and sellers in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate and luxury residential real estate.

Jason also represents developers in the creation of condominiums, subdivisions, and master-planned communities.

  • Represent a financial services organization, as landlord, in numerous leasing transactions for space in Class A office buildings, industrial and warehouse properties, and in shopping centers, shopping malls, and mixed-use projects in Central and South Florida.
  • Represent an institutional landlord in numerous leasing transactions in multiple Class A office buildings and industrial properties in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Orlando, Florida.
  • Represent an institutional landlord in numerous leasing transactions in a 956,000-square-foot office complex in Tampa, Florida, including a lease for a 140,000-square-foot call center.      
  • Represent an institutional landlord in numerous leasing transactions in an 880,000-square-foot multibuilding industrial complex in Broward County, Florida.
  • Represent a major land developer, as landlord, in multiple outparcel ground leases with national fast food franchisors and anchor tenant leases with regional and national grocery store chains in newly developed shopping centers in North Central Florida.
  • Represent a regional hospital system, as landlord/licensor, in multiple medical office leases and medical office license agreements in Palm Beach County, Florida.
  • Represent a national restaurant franchisor in evaluating and approving franchisee leases nationally.
  • Represented a shopping center developer, as landlord, in an outparcel ground lease with a national convenience store and gas station chain, as well as an anchor tenant lease with a large regional grocery store chain in Northeast Florida.
  • Represented an international aerospace engineering company, as tenant, in the negotiation of a 19-acre ground lease and facility sublease for the construction of a new research and development and headquarters facility at the Tampa International Airport.
  • Represented a regional hospital system, as landlord, in a ground lease and facility sublease for a medical center in Tampa, Florida.
  • Represented a regional hospital system, as tenant, in multiple medical office leases in Hillsborough County, Florida.
  • Represented a landowner, as landlord, in a ground lease with a national convenience store and gas station chain in Miami, Florida.
  • Represented an educational consulting company, as tenant, in the negotiation of a new lease to relocate to new corporate headquarters in Coral Gables, Florida.
  • Represented an athletic event organizer and promoter, as tenant, in the negotiation of an expansion of its corporate headquarters in Tampa, Florida.
  • Represented landlords in multiple leases of equestrian facilities in Wellington, Florida.
  • Represented a national bank in the establishment and subsequent modification of a $67 million revolving credit facility.
  • Acted as local counsel in the representation of a commercial real estate finance company in a $62 million refinance of a mixed-use project in Jupiter, Florida.
  • Represented a national bank in the sale of numerous distressed loans secured by real estate throughout Florida.
  • Represented the seller of a gas station property in the sale of real estate and an operating gas station and convenience store in Palm Beach County, Florida.
  • Represented an individual tenant in common in the legal and physical partition and reconsolidation of multiple properties in the Bahamas held as a tenancy in common by multiple tenants.
