Overview

Chael Clark is an experienced commercial and business litigator who has handled a broad array of complex disputes at the state, federal, and international level. He represents insurers in representation and warranty insurance matters, banking and fidelity claims, and directors and officers (D&O) liability claims. Chael’s background also includes representing financial institutions and other corporations in commercial and securities litigation, internal investigations, merger and acquisition disputes, and regulatory enforcement matters.

Chael has handled multiple disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, including representing a Fortune 100 company in mediation related to a nearly $7 billion sale of one of its businesses. He has also litigated to recover funds owed under note purchase and guaranty agreements. Chael’s extensive experience representing multinational corporations in regulatory matters and related civil class actions includes handling inquiries from the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and federal and state attorneys general. Chael has also defended companies in environmental litigation in the United States and internationally.

During law school, Chael served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Barbara S. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.
