Overview

Jimmy Camilus focuses his practice on real estate and commercial finance. He represents publicly traded and privately held lenders nationwide in commercial real estate financing transactions, with an emphasis on multifamily housing transactions under the Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae loan programs. He handles matters involving originating, selling, and servicing loan transactions sold to secondary market investors.

Jimmy received his J.D. and LL.M. in taxation from the University of Miami School of Law, where he held three clerkships, gaining experience in a variety of practice areas. He has experience assisting with the preparation of class action and multidistrict litigation cases. He researched tax implications, analyzed domestic and international structures, drafted legal blogs dealing with blockchain ledger technology, and worked on complex business research and case review. He also researched and drafted petitions, prepared visa application packets for filing, communicated with clients and beneficiaries, and assisted with various other business immigration needs.
