Overview

For more than 30 years, Dan DeCubellis has provided clients with solutions to real estate and business problems. His practice focuses on agreements and transactions for clients whose real property is intrinsic to the production of their products or revenue, and he has extensive industry experience representing governments, mining ventures, utilities, and commercial lenders.

Dan typically handles real estate and business matters involving long-term and broad-based representation of and counsel to multinational, regional, and local businesses, municipal electric utilities, governments, commercial property owners, commercial developers, manufacturers, professional firms, and commercial lenders.

Dan is board certified in real estate by the Florida Bar. He is co-managing shareholder of the Orlando office.

Experience

  • Sale of City of Vero Beach Electric Utility. Represented the city of Vero Beach in connection with the sale of the city’s electric utility system.
  • Orlando City SC Soccer Stadium. Represented MLS team in deal with the city of Orlando for new soccer stadium.
  • Purchase and Sale of Assets and Business Interests. Representation of buyers and sellers regarding sale of business assets or interests, including purchases or sales of construction companies, professional firms, event businesses, franchisees, and other businesses.
  • Mining and Mineral Interests. Lead Florida real estate counsel in $1.4 billion sale of Florida phosphate mining lands, port facilities, chemical plant, and other assets.
  • Governmental Transactions. Representation of the city of Orlando in connection with real property transactions, including sale and leaseback of police headquarters by an Orlando Magic affiliate, and purchase and leaseback of Plaza Live with an affiliate of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra.
  • Electric Utility Transactions. Representation of municipal electric utilities, including sales of utility assets, long-term ground lease, and redevelopment of a decommissioned power plant.
  • Professional Firm Transactions. Representation of accounting firm in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Manufacturing. Representation of multinational manufacturer in acquisition, development, and construction of manufacturing facility and headquarters, including local government bond financing.
  • Procurement. Representation of multinational entity with regard to agreements for the purchase and sale of goods and services.
