Overview
Caycee Hampton is a litigator concentrating on national and local defense of complex litigation for pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetic manufacturers in federal and state courts. Her practice includes general product liability, mass tort, premises liability, and medical malpractice cases. She has also defended firm clients against class action claims. Caycee recently served as counsel for a medical services company in a consumer class action lawsuit, and she previously helped secure a favorable outcome for a nationally ranked medical facility in a class action lawsuit relating to improper billing.
Caycee also has experience advising health care industry clients on regulatory and compliance matters, including licensing, accreditation, and fraud and abuse issues, as well as assisting clients facing government investigations by state and federal agencies. As a licensed health care risk manager, she also works with institutional clients to resolve risk management concerns.
Before joining Carlton Fields, Caycee served as a law clerk to the Honorable Virginia Covington of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. As a law clerk, she managed an assigned civil docket, drafted proposed orders and jury instructions, advised the judge on civil and criminal legal issues, and provided trial and hearing support.
