Gina A. Hough
Overview
Gina Hough leads a team serving publicly traded and privately held mortgage lenders, which originate multifamily financing nationwide for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Federal Housing Administration-insured execution. She counsels national lending clients across all three executions and oversees the practice, which includes bridge lending and loan servicing counseling. Gina is a former vice president and deputy general counsel at Fannie Mae and is considered a pioneer in the realm of strategic exploitation of intellectual property assets in the mortgage finance industry.
Gina’s experience, in her role overseeing the practice, includes finance transactions involving multifamily apartment complexes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, elderly housing, and intermediate care facilities.
Gina also has extensive experience as in-house counsel for Fortune 100 companies, having spent 25 years of her career in-house. She previously served as senior corporate counsel for Digital Equipment Corp. (now Hewlett Packard), where she served as counsel to an international array of acquisition, telecommunications, and advertising business teams.
Gina is an active member of the National Multifamily Housing Council and the Mortgage Bankers Association. She also maintains membership in the American Intellectual Property Law Association and its LGBT Subcommittee.
Gina is the co-chair of the firm's Real Estate - Commercial Finance Industry Group.
