Overview

Sean Hughes is a litigator whose practice focuses on defending financial services companies in complex civil litigation matters and class actions in state and federal courts throughout the United States.

Sean’s financial services experience includes working for the University of Miami School of Law’s Investor Rights Clinic. There, she represented underserved investors in securities arbitration claims against their brokers before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.

For more than a year, while earning her law degree, Sean worked as a law clerk in Carlton Fields’ Life, Annuity, and Retirement Litigation Practice. Prior to law school, Sean worked as a legislative aide to the Jefferson Parish Delegation in the Louisiana State Legislature.
