Overview

Dr. Zayn Mohamed is an intellectual property lawyer with experience in business transactions and litigations involving patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, confidential data, and private or protected information. Zayn’s passion is patent prosecution and helping clients obtain protection for their inventions, with a particular focus on innovations and technologies in medicine and health care. Also a resident interventional radiologist, he offers invaluable real-time perspective as a licensed physician currently immersed in and familiar with the field’s needs and intricacies.

After receiving dual bachelor’s degrees at age 18 as the youngest graduate in University of South Florida (USF) history, Zayn was the first-ever M.D./J.D. dual-degree candidate at the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Stetson University College of Law. He was the valedictorian of his law school class, recipient of the Edward D. Foreman Most Distinguished Student Award, and invited on account of his top Florida bar exam score to speak on behalf of new attorneys at the Florida Second District Court of Appeal swearing-in ceremony. He also worked in the patent offices of USF and the Moffitt Cancer Center, and completed post-graduate year one residency training in general surgery at Stamford Hospital/Columbia University with distinction.

Zayn loves music, languages travel, and water and the outdoors. Outside the office, he can be found volunteering at medical clinics, assisting in teaching patent and copyright law at Stetson, and helping coach his alma mater’s Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team.
