Casey R. Hardy McGowan
Overview
Casey McGowan’s practice focuses primarily on antitrust litigation and other complex commercial litigation. As a member of the firm’s antitrust cartel recovery practice, Casey represents a range of corporate clients in multidistrict litigation in federal courts across the country. Casey also has experience in other complex litigation matters involving consumer disputes, land disputes, and breach of contract.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Casey was counsel for Amazon Web Services, the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform. As an attorney for Amazon, Casey drafted dozens of multimillion-dollar commercial agreements, drove high-impact simplification projects, and advised on antitrust-related matters.
Before private practice, Casey was a law clerk to now-Chief Justice Michael P. Boggs of the Supreme Court of Georgia and a staff attorney for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Casey is deeply committed to the advancement of women and under-resourced people in our communities. Casey is actively involved in the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and is a mentor to young attorneys both inside and outside the firm. In 2022, Casey was one of the youngest recipients ever to be awarded the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award by her alma mater, Lindsey Wilson College.
Although she has lived in Palm Beach County for five years, Casey is originally from southeastern Kentucky. In her spare time, she enjoys off-roading, baking, poetry, basketball, being a cat mom, and sipping a good bourbon.
