James E. Mitchell

Overview

James Mitchell is a litigator with a decade of experience in commercial disputes, product liability matters, constitutional law litigation, and health law. He defends corporations in all stages of litigation, including managing discovery, taking depositions, drafting and arguing motions, and negotiating settlements.

Prior to joining Carlton Fields, James served as clinical supervising attorney and adjunct instructor of law at the Health Law Partnership Legal Services Clinic at Georgia State University College of Law. Earlier in his career, he served as a staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, assisting the court in the disposition of a variety of civil and criminal cases.
