Overview

Michael Rothfeldt’s practice focuses on all aspects of construction litigation, particularly complex matters involving delay claims, design and scope changes, termination, and construction defects. Michael represents a variety of clients in the construction industry including, construction managers, general contractors, developers, and owners on large residential and commercial projects. He has successfully handled matters involving sports stadiums, convention centers, high-rise condominiums, and residential communities.

Michael also has extensive experience in resolving complex contract disputes, lien and bond claims, and claims for additional compensation by subcontractors. He regularly represents large-scale national homebuilders in construction defect actions.

He is board certified in construction law by the Florida Bar.

Michael co-chairs the Articles Subcommittee of the Construction Law Section for the Hillsborough County Bar Association. He also serves on the Construction Law Institute’s Sponsorship Committee, and as editor-at-large for Actionline Magazine.
