Overview

Shay Raja is a real estate attorney whose practice focuses on complex real estate finance transactions with an emphasis on federally insured loans under FHA/HUD insurance programs. Shay also has experience in commercial and residential transactions. His transactional matters include a high-end condominium development project and a large-scale purchase of commercial land in Collier and Hendry counties for a Florida farming entity.

Shay represents clients in connection with lending, including drafting mortgages, promissory notes, guarantees, and closing documents. Shay also prepares and analyzes commercial real estate leases, purchase and sale agreements, operating agreements, and reviews title work.

Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Shay worked in a large Southwest Florida law firm and worked in the legal department for a global technology company in Seattle, Washington. He is fluent in Urdu.
