Overview
Kurt Taylor is a litigator whose practice focuses on white collar crime and government investigations, with particular experience in the health care industry. He represents clients in civil and criminal government investigations involving Department of Justice civil investigative demands and requests for documents and information. Kurt regularly coordinates extensive document review and productions in response to government investigations.
Kurt is experienced in trial and appellate litigation in state and federal court, as well as state board investigations and administrative proceedings before professional licensing agencies. As part of his background in health care investigations, Kurt handled matters involving multijurisdictional pharmacies and health care professionals with disciplinary issues before state licensing entities across the country. He has experience responding to investigations and negotiating settlements.
Prior to joining Carlton Fields, Kurt worked with a national health care litigation and government investigations practice. He also gained valuable experience as a judicial intern to the Honorable David D. Noce of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
Kurt earned his law degree from Emory University School of Law, where he was a notes and comments editor for the Emory International Law Review. In addition to his law practice, Kurt is passionate about the performing arts and is a concert-level pianist.
