Carlton Fields Alumnus Tom Barber Confirmed as U.S. District Judge

Carlton Fields alumnus Tom Barber was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as a district judge for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
Judge Barber was nominated to the position by President Donald J. Trump.
He was previously a Circuit Judge in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and a Hillsborough County Court Judge, where he handled civil and criminal cases.
Judge Barber began his legal career at Carlton Fields as an associate from 1992 to 1997, and returned to the firm as a shareholder practicing trial and business litigation from 2000 to 2004, after serving as a prosecutor with the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit and the Florida Attorney General’s Office of Statewide Prosecution.
