Carlton Fields Alumnus John L. Badalamenti Confirmed as U.S. District Judge

Carlton Fields alumnus John L. Badalamenti was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to serve as a district judge for the Middle District of Florida.

Judge Badalamenti was nominated by President Donald J. Trump in February 2020.

From 2015 until his appointment to the federal bench, he served as a judge for Florida’s Second District Court of Appeal.

Judge Badalamenti joined Carlton Fields as an associate in 2001 after serving as a U.S. Department of Justice honors attorney and a law clerk to the Honorable Frank Mays Hull of the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He subsequently worked as an assistant federal public defender for the Middle District of Florida for nearly a decade.
