Capitol Report - Florida Republicans Retain Majority Status in the Legislature
Republican Ray Sansom of Destin is now set to take the reigns of as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives following yesterday’s elections; Jeff Atwater of North Palm Beach will be the next Florida Senate President. Both will serve for the next two years.
This issue of Capitol Report provides the 2008 General Election results for the Florida Legislature and discusses the composition of the Florida Senate and Florida House of Representatives for the next two years. The results of the Florida House Congressional races are included, as well.
